The end of the summer is the perfect season to start making holiday cards and add a little extra shine and sparkle to our handmade cards. Today I’m sharing three festive designs featuring some of my favorite Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates™, Fancy Transfer Foils, and Plush Papers.
Whether you love snowmen, candy canes, or simply adding shimmer to your backgrounds, these cards show how easily foiling can elevate your holiday crafting.
For the card bases, I started with the Foil-Mates™. After running them through the Fuse Foiling System Laminator, the patterns came to life with the Sparkling Silver, Red Velvet, and Emerald Coast foils. The foiled details catch the light beautifully, giving each card a festive glow.
To complement the shiny backgrounds, I brought in Plush Papers for texture. I used White Velvet, Pink Carnation, and Ruby Red plush papers to ad a soft, luxe touch that contrasts so nicely with the foiled shine.
Each card is finished with bold, festive greetings—“Thanks Snow Much,” “Happy Holidays,” and “Warm Wishes and Snowflake Kisses.” The foiled backgrounds make these sentiments stand out while keeping the overall design fun and playful.
With just a few foiled panels and some plush paper accents, you can create holiday cards that feel extra special. The mix of shimmer, sparkle, and soft velvet makes these designs perfect for gifting to friends and family this season.
