General Directions
For best results, pretest adhesive before starting project. Avoid touching exposed adhesive with hands to maintain tack.
- Apply tape to item or along edge of fabric, firmly pressing tape to surface.
- Tear end of tape by hand or cut with non-stick scissors.
- To remove paper liner, lift fabric from your work surface. Grip fabric just in front of one end of the tape. Use your opposite thumb to gently roll the paper liner away from the side to separate it from the adhesive. NOTE: Pulling liner straight up from the end may cause the entire tape strip to lift off the surface.
- Press item or fabric in place. For hems, fold fabric to fully enclose tape inside seam.
- Sew as directed by pattern or project instructions.
Tips:
It is not recommended to sew through tape; place tape within seam allowances. Item must be sewn or otherwise attached before washing. Basting Tape may also be used to position pattern pieces on fabric without pinning.
