HeatnBond® VersaGrid™ Fusible 2.5” Grid Interfacing provides a soft, lightweight, non-woven foundation for precise patchwork and a wide range of quilt design techniques including watercolor, mosaic, pixel, bargello, Irish chain and photo quilts.

Use the preprinted grid to easily and accurately piece fabric squares for quilts, wall hangings, bags, zipper pouches, apparel and more with the ease of a fusible. Simply fuse, fold and stitch. Finished squares measure 2” x 2”. 
Also available in 2” grid; finished size 1.5” x 1.5”.

Directions

1. We recommend prewashing all fabrics without fabric softeners. Interfacing does not require prewashing. Pretest interfacings on materials before starting project.
2. Cut fusible grid interfacing to size of finished project plus 6” all around.
3. Cut enough 2” x 2” fabric squares to cover fusible grid.
4. Preheat iron to cotton/high setting, NO STEAM.
5. Place interfacing, rough fusible side up, on pressing surface. Arrange fabric squares right side up on fusible side, aligning fabric edges with preprinted gridlines.
6. Cover with a nonstick pressing sheet or HeatnBond Pressing Paper. Press and hold iron with medium pressure for 
   10-12 seconds. Repeat by lifting iron to new area and pressing, slightly overlapping previous area until surface is bonded. Do not glide iron back and forth; press straight down each time to avoid disturbing fabric pieces.
7. Allow pieces to cool. If more ironing is needed, iron an additional
   5 seconds. Allow pieces to cool before moving project.
8. Fold along each vertical gridline with fabrics right sides together and sew ¼” seam, repeating across entire piece of VersaGrid. Clip and press seams as directed by pattern. Repeat to fold and sew horizontal ¼” seams. Press seams as directed by pattern.
9. Sew as directed by pattern or project instructions; trim away excess interfacing. May be hand or machine quilted.
