Important Reminder:
Always test interfacing on a fabric scrap before applying it to your full project. Adjust recommended pressing times as needed.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. For best results, prewash fabrics without fabric softeners. There is no need to prewash or preshrink fusible non-woven interfacing.
  2. Cut fusible interfacing per pattern instructions. Cut away seam allowances, if needed. (Fig. 1)
  3. Preheat iron to cotton/high heat setting. NO STEAM, unless pattern instructs otherwise.
  4. Use a non-stick pressing sheet to protect iron and ironing surface from accidental fusing.
  5. Place interfacing on wrong side of fabric, fusible side down. Cover with a light, dry press cloth. Press and hold iron in place with medium pressure for 10 to 15 seconds. Repeat by lifting iron to a new area and pressing, slightly overlapping previous area until entire surface is bonded. (Fig. 2)
  6. Allow fused pieces to cool completely. If more ironing is needed, press an additional 5 seconds from front of project. Allow pieces to cool completely before sewing.
  7. Sew as directed by pattern or project instructions. (Fig. 3)

TIPS:
For projects requiring extra stiffness, add a second layer of VersaCraft Fusible following steps above. May also be used as a fusible backing for single-sided projects like wall hangings, window treatments, and needle arts.
