You've Got This Card with Deco Foil and Simon Hurley

For today's card, I started with an A2 piece of white cardstock and did a technique called direct-to-paper with my ink pad. I just drug the pad over the paper repeatedly until I had the coverage that I wanted. I did this vertically and horizontally to get that cool textured look. Next, I spritzed the panel with water and blotted it dry. Then I layered the look like rain stencil over the top and spread glitz glitter gel through it with my stencil pal. I cleaned up and set the panel aside to dry while I did a little foiling. After my laminator heated up, I ran it through with the reverse polka dot toner card front and mystic rainbow deco foil. Isn't this gorgeous! I thought the rainbow would be fun with the raindrops in the stenciling. With my glitz gel dry, I trimmed the panel down to 4x5.25 inches and added foam tape to the back. I removed the release paper and popped it on the foiled toner card and used my ultra bond glue pen to adhere the whole thing to a card base. Next, I cut a 1-inch strip of kraft cardstock and ran it through my die cutter with the Pink & Main woodgrain embossing folder. I added some texture with brown dye ink and a blending brush before adhering my images to the back of it with liquid glue. Then I added foam tape to the back of the images and popped them up on the rainy background. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment on iridescent vellum and used a tape runner to glue it down. It was easy to hide the adhesive behind the letters. Last, I moved on to finishing touches. For that, I added a black glaze pen to all of the critter eyes and glossy accents to their noses. I had so much fun creating this card and love all of the texture and interest no matter where you look. These Simon Hurley images are my absolute favorite though. They're too cute for words! I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day! This post contains affiliate links. For more information, see our disclosure HERE.
