You Are One of a Kind Card with Brutus Monroe Foil

by Heather Collins on March 05, 2026

Hello! It's Heather from Brutus Monroe. If you haven't heard, Brutus Monroe is closing its retail store in Pittsburgh, PA but it will remain open via website ordering. I am blessed enough to teach the Make and Takes for the last 10 years and in February 2026 I taught the last one scheduled at the retail location and I created one of my favorite cards inspired by Candi VanDerWerf. When creating this month's project I could think of no better project then one that would combine the two amazing companies in one simple but sweet card.

This project couldn't be easier! I took the Brutus Monroe "Secret Garden | DuoFoil Washi Sheet" cut in half. Then using the "Fuse Foiling Machine by Gina K Designs" on level 4 I foiled it using the "Brutus Monroe | Foil Transfer Sheets | Gold Static". Then I took just one strip and put it across the bottom of my "Brutus Monroe Card Panels 4.25x5.5" horizontally about 1/2" inch up from the bottom.

I embossed Brutus Monroe "One of a Kind | 2x3 Stamp Set" using Brutus Monroe "Embossing Ink", Brutus Monroe "Raven | Embossing Powder" and a heat gun. I trimmed the sentiment into a square and using a scrap piece of paper added a small blue piece to frame it. I also did the butterfly and trimmed it out.

I scored the top of the Washi Strip and two lines above it and popped up the sentiment., glued down the butterfly loosely and added three flatback crystals.

Then I attached this card front to my "Brutus Monroe A2 Card Bases". And just like that my "One of Kind" card is done. This is the perfect combination of Brutus Monroe and Therm O Web products in one sweet and simple card! Just like a perfect partnership!
