Valentine Treat Pocket Instructions:
AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LovePockets Tut1 One of the great things about this project is that you can quickly and easily change the size of your finished gift bag by simply changing the dimension of your fabric cuts. Whatever size you chose, the basic directions remain the same. For this project, cut two 11 x 6.5 pieces of Stitch n' Sew™ Fleece, and two 10 x 5.5 pieces of printed fabric. Using a pinking shear, cut along both long sides and one short side on the fleece pieces. AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LovePockets Tut2 Pin one printed fabric to the center of one fleece piece, and stitch all around the edges. Repeat the process for the second pocket. AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LovePockets Tut3 Fold in the left side of the fabric. Place a strip of Fabric Fuse™ Tape down the right inside edge of the panel, starting about one inch down from the top, and ending about half an inch up from the bottom. Remove the protective liner from the tape, and fold and secure the right edge over onto the front of the pocket. AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LovePockets Tut4 Stitch across the bottom of the folded panels. You now have a cute little fabric pocket pouch, ready to be filled and embellished. How easy is that? AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LovePockets Tut5 Fill the pouches with Valentine candy, treats, or your favorite small gift. Tie ribbon and trim around the top of the pouch to secure. Add tags, die cut hearts, and embellishments. AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LovePockets Tut6 Cut several half inch strips of white cardstock, and trim the ends into a V-notch. Using a junky flat paintbrush, apply Deco Foil™ Liquid Adhesive to the paper strips. Next, wash the brush out immediately, and set the paper strips aside to dry until the adhesive is tacky to the touch. AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LovePockets Tut7 Cut a strip of iCraft Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheet. Lay the foil sheet down onto the paper strips, with the shiny colored side up and the silver side down. Rub over the top of the foil using the tip of your finger or the edge of a credit card. Peel up the foil. Add strips to the backside of the tags using a tape runner. AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoil LovePockets2 Enjoy!
