Before I started on anything, I created a quick sketch for inspiration! If you would like to download this just right click on it and save it.

First, trim a Kraft cardstock base to 4.25 x 11, then score it at 5.5 inches. Also trim a piece of Kraft to 4 x 5.25. Trim a patterned piece of cardstock from the I Love Christmas Collection to 3.75 x 5.

xmas1

On a scrap piece of Kraft cardstock, die cut the pine, bow and pinecones.

xmas2 xmas3

Using an ink blending tool (or a sponge), add some Distress Ink to the die cuts. Add less in the areas that should have highlights on them. This will add some dimension to the die cuts and make them look more realistic.

xmas4 xmas5

Add some adhesive using the DecoFoil™ Adhesive Pen, fan along the edges and sides of the die cuts. Set aside to dry.

xmas6 xmas7

Once the adhesive is 100% dry (the foil will NOT stick if the adhesive isn't dry), press the Iridescent foil onto the die cuts.

xmas8

Use your finger or a bone folder to burnish the foil into the adhesive.

xmas9

The iridescent foil color is the perfect way to emulate snow or frost!

xmas10

Choose a sticker from the Element Sticker sheet. Using stickers is such a huge time saver on cards, especially when we all have limited time during the holiday season!

xmas11

Start layers the die cuts on the upper left corner. Use the XL Tape Runner to adhere OR use Easy Cut Adhesive before you even die cut. Either adhesive works perfectly; it is up to personal preference.

xmas12

To adhere the bow, cut down a small piece of 3D foam squares. The die cut is small, but that doesn't mean it can't have dimension!

xmas13

Assemble the card using 3D foam squares.

xmas14

To complete the card, add some sparkle to the bow with the Crystal Clear Sparkle Pen!
