Use up Your Deco Foil Scraps - No Heat Required!

by Thermoweb on May 04, 2016
Hello! Alice with you today to share a great way to use up your Deco Foil™ scraps. The best part is that this is a no-heat technique. All you need are scraps of foil in assorted colors, the new DecoFoil™ Adhesive pen, and something to help you press the foil firmly into the adhesive - a manual die-cutting machine works perfectly for this. Since graduation season will soon be upon us, I decided to create a card and matching gift bag for my project. Cut a piece of black cardstock to the size you need (other colors of cardstock work too, but black really makes the foil pop). Working on small sections at a time, cover the cardstock with adhesive, allow to dry for a minute or so until tacky to the touch, and cover the section with foil scraps. Run through a manual die-cutting machine to press the foil into the adhesive. Peel off the foil transfer sheets to reveal the foiled cardstock. Continue to add foil until the entire sheet is covered. Go back over any spots and layer foil as you like. To create the card, die cut the butterfly layer from white cardstock and place over a section of the foiled cardstock. Mat with black cardstock and adhere to a white card base. Stamp the sentiment on green cardstock cut to a banner shape and embellish with sequins using Zots™ for Bling.
