Hi, this is Jenifer here with you today to share this fun bag I made after receiving the Tumbler die from Crafters Edge. I love the book from Anna Graham from Noodlehead - Handmade Style, I check it out from the library so often I should just purchase a copy for myself. One of my favorite projects in the book is the Zip Top Tote. I have made this bag several times and have worn out a couple of them. I knew when I got the Tumbler die I was going to use it for the front pocket for this bag along with my stash of Merriweather fabrics.

SUPPLIES for the Zip Top Tote

HeatnBond Craft Extra Firm Interfacing HeatnBond Fusible Fleece Merriweather fabrics from Windham Tumbler die from Crafters Edge. Other Supplies: zipper, Oliso Iron, Crafters Edge machine, Handmade Stylebook, Thread I have made so many little projects from this beautiful Merriweather fabric from Windham Fabrics, I knew this was another worthy project. Using the Die Cutting Machine from Crafters Edge cutting out all of the tumbler blocks was so easy and took no time at all. This machine has a dial to help with the pressure so that you are able to cut multiple layers of fabric all at once. Here I did 4 layers but I think you can do up to 6. After cutting out all the tumbler blocks needed to get the size I for the front pocket panel, I then sewed the blocks together. Now you can apply the Fusible Fleece to the pocket to give it the stability needed for the bag. Iron the Fusible Fleece to the back of the pocket panel. This would be the time to quilt the pocket panel to the inside pocket lining if desired. Follow the instructions in the book to assemble the rest of the bag. I love how it turned out. I am so happy that I get to see these beautiful Merriweather fabrics every day. Here is a close-up. I did end up using some rivets to reinforce the pocket.
