Tula Pink Embroidered Bunny Table Runner

Happy Spring from Thermoweb and myself, Amy of Sew Incredibly Crazy!! Decorating your home with some. fresh spring embroidery can add just the right touch to your home décor. Why not mix a Tula Pink's beautiful book of embroidery designs with a bit of added applique.

There are some truly beautiful pattern to stitch up in her book. I chose these sweet bunnies. To make the applique on the rabbits, copy the pattern on to a sheet of HeatnBond EZ Print Featherlite. Chose the parts of the pattern that will be applique. In the example above, the bunnies, flowers and the design on the top and bottom were cut from the sheet and ironed on to a variety of fabrics. Cut around the designs and then iron on to the fabric that the embroidery design was traced onto. Machine applique around the design with coordinating thread. This could also be done by hand. Finish the design with a variety of stitches. This one was completed using a satin and backstitch. The design can then be added to a table runner pattern or quilt.
