Trick Or Treat Card With Glitter Dust Spray

Welcome back! It's Trick or Treat week here on the Therm O Web Blog and I've got some treats for you here... no tricks!

Trick or Treat Card with Glitter Dust Spray

I started by creating an alcohol ink background. I started with EVO Synthetic Paper and then added some alcohol inks and instead of using Blending Solution, I used a small cup of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and a paintbrush to move the colors around. I like this method when I want smoother lines. Then I used a stencil to apply some Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo and set it aside to dry for a few hours. While it was still tacky, I applied some Magical Shattered Glass Deco Foil over the top for some sparkle. ToThen I sprayed some Gold Glitter Dust over the top of that. I added a few layers, letting each dry in between for just a couple minutes. Outside is best if you can but be sure to do it in a well-ventilated area. I decided to use the Happy Everything Deco Foil A2 Toner Card Fronts. Sometimes I like to foil the whole panel at once and sometimes I like to cut them apart and just foil the one I want to use. I foiled it with some fabulous Blue Waves Transfer Sheets. I die cut the foiled "Happy" using the coordinating dies and then blended some Distress Oxide Inks over the top that coordinated with the alcohol-inked panel. I popped the Happy up onto the completed panel along with all of my adorable trick-or-treating cuties from the Miss Ink Stamps Welcome Home stamp set and a die-cut Halloween tree. Finally, I added the word Halloween by masking the bulk of one of the sentiments from the set. And done! I love all of the sparkles on this one! Glitter Dust is a quick and easy way to add lots of sparkles and shine to any project!
