To get started, I foiled the Blizzard Foil-Mates Toner Card Front with the Pewter Lane Brutus Monroe Transfer Foil Sheet. I wanted a more neutral, vintage-look background, but you could foil the design in any color of Brutus Monroe Transfer Sheets, Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils or Deco Foil Transfer Sheets.
Then, using a scalloped circle die, I cut out the back of the ornament.
Next, I adhered the rub-on transfer design to cardstock and cut it out. To back the image, I cut a scalloped stitched circle with a Spellbinders die from my stash. I used our iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive to adhere the reindeer to the circle.
Then I added some small embellishments using the Ultra Bond Adhesive.
Using the Iridescent Glitter Dust, I sprayed the entire area. Remember to protect your work surface from overspray.
You can see the sparkle that it gives the ornament, making it look vintage.
Next, I glued a plastic half-ball ornament over the decorated area. I also added some mini silver tinsel trim and finished with a sheer ribbon bow.
The finished ornament is so cute.
For the second ornament, I chose this cute snowman rub-on and the Gina K. Designs Bountiful Flourish Foil-Mates Toner Card Fronts.
I repeated the same process as I did for the first ornament . . .
. . . and finished it with a bow.
Look at all the sparkle!
Here are both of them together. What's really fun is that you can tie these onto a package or gift bag and stamp to: and from: on the flat back. It's a really fun way to give a lasting gift.
I hope you'll pick up the ornaments and trim at your local craft store before all the holiday items disappear. Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a creative day!
