Sunshine Quilt Facebook Live

by Lisa Ruble on May 16, 2024
Hi friends! It's Lisa, from Quilty Zest. As my kids remind me almost daily, the school year is almost over. Yikes! I typically make cookies and write notes for teacher thank yous, but my 9-year-old, Benji, wanted to make a gift for his 4th grade teacher. So we did, and we're sharing it with you! A few months ago, I did a mini quilt trunk show/how people use math in life presentation in Benji's class. I took my sunshine quilt along to show, and his teacher gushed over how much she loved it. So we decided to make a mini version of that for her. This project is great to do with a kid because it gives them plenty of opportunities to contribute. We’ll be sharing how to make this Sunshine Mini Quilt in my upcoming Facebook Live in the Therm O Web Craft Room Facebook Group! Join me tonight at 7:30 PM CDT as Benji and I share the steps to make this cheery project. What teacher couldn't use a little extra sunshine in their life? Or anyone, really? Sunshine Mini Quilts for everyone! Here's what you'll need: 5" x 10" pieces of 5-6 yellow prints (1) 13" square blue background fabric (2) 2-1/4" x WOF strips for binding (1) 14" square backing fabric HeatnBond Lite Sewable Fusible Fleece Download the templates here. Don’t forget to join the Therm O Web Facebook Group prior to our live by clicking here and answering the questions to join! Benji and I hope to see you tonight! Lisa
