However all good things must come to an end so designer Audrey Pettit is wrapping us this very fun week witht his adorable spring chickens card! Today I'm playing with the adorable new Spring Chicken stamp set, and gorgeous papers from our friends at Photo Play Paper, on a pair of silly birthday cards, perfect for all those spring chickens in your life. If you're going to watercolor, be sure to use a good waterproof ink and watercolor cardstock, like the supplies I listed above from Ranger. After coloring the images, I die cut them out using some stitched rectangle dies, and popped them onto my card bases using Therm O Web 3D Adhesive Squares for lots of depth and dimension. AudreyPettit Thermoweb AI Vintagy&FabulousCard I love the vintage look to these sweet papers, and tried to keep up that feel with a bit of shabby inking on all my paper edges. I always think a bit of brown ink adds a feeling of warmth and age to my projects. AudreyPettit Thermoweb AI Vintagy&FabulousCard2 On this card, I used foam squares between several of the layers to add lots of great visual depth. I did a bit of craft blade work around the hens feathers to lift her "fingers" up over the sticker. Looks like she's really holding it, doesn't she? AudreyPettit Thermoweb AI Vintagy&FabulousCard3 I thought the Vintagy & Fabulous sticker was such a perfect match for the puny sentiments in this stamp set, but since I ran out of room on the front of the card, it gave me the perfect excuse to finish it off on the inside! I hope I've given you some fun birthday card ideas! Enjoy! [line]Our sweet friends at Art Impressions have offered us these new stamps with a $50 value for you to win!
