Boo! Jessica here! 😊
Halloween is creeping closer, and I'm excited to share a brand new layout with you today. I'm pulling out the new Ghouls and Grins Toner Card Fronts from Therm O Web, and these little ghosts are full of personality. We'll add a touch of foil, mix in some torn paper and texture, and end up with a spooky page that's just a little bit sparkly. Grab your supplies and let's get started!

Ghouls and Grins is here, and the new Therm O Web Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts are so adorable! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them the second they landed in my happy little hands. I grabbed some Sparkling Cider Deco Foil and my Fuse Laminating machine, then sent one of the ghost toner sheets through, sandwiched between a craft and carrier sheet. I like a number 3 setting, and I feed the folded edge in first for a nice crisp foil transfer. Place your foil pretty side up, with the silver side facing the toner sheet. Out comes the sparkly goodness! I fussy cut the ghosts and shaded them with a gray Copic marker for a little extra pizazz.

For the layout, I followed the sketch from Day 4 of 30 Days of Sketches. I started with a gray polka dot background and layered on torn papers with distressed edges, adhering them with 1/2 inch Easy Tear Tape. The Bella Blvd Boo to You papers were perfect for keeping everything monochromatic and spooky, and the torn edges add texture without adding color.

Then I added my title, "Spooky Crew," and tucked in a dangling bat embellishment made from baker's twine. I glued it down with Mixed Media Adhesive, which has a strong hold but dries clear, so nothing shows through.

To tie it all together, I machine stitched down my torn edges and added a piece of ribbon. Those ghosties made such fun embellishments, so I popped them up on Gina K 3D Foam Squares for some dimension. A few black and white splatters finished it off.

Watch the full process on YouTube — I walk through every step in real time, including the foiling run and how I positioned the elements.
Thank you for being here today and I hope I’ve inspired you to create something beautiful!
