Project Instructions:
To start, I die cut two pieces of watercolor paper using the Small Cross Stitched Rectangle Stackables Dies. I cut one large one for the main panel of my card and one small for the focal point.
I stamped "bravo" onto the small panel and heat embossed it with clear powder. By embossing it, it is protected from the water and watercolors; the ink won't bleed.
Then I gently added a plain wash of water onto it.
I colored directly onto the flower stamp using watercolor markers and stamped them onto the damp panel. Since the paper was still wet, the ink spread out, like I painted it with watercolors!
I repeated the same process a few times with more flowers and leaves, too. Then, I painted some light blue in the background to soften the harshness of the white paper.
Once everything was dry (a heat gun can be used to speed up the process), I placed the cardstock into a shoe box and sprayed it with Gold Glitter Dust™ Spray. I sprayed it twice, just to make sure it was super shimmery!
After that dried (it didn't take very long, just a few minutes), I added some sequins to the front and adhered everything together.
I used the 3D white foam squares to pop up the front panel.
