Hello, friends! Ellen here and today I am sharing a fun Easter trio I made with flock and foil. I decided to make the easter card and handbag for a kid in our family since we're not able to see each other due to the pandemic.
I started with the card. Below you can read and see step by step how I made the card.
To start, I transferred the foil on top of the Slimline Toner Card Front (Lots of Dots). I did cut a piece of foil slightly larger than the design. Then I placed foil, color side up, on top of the printed side of the design. I placed both pieces inside the folded parchment paper (enclosed). Next inserted the folded parchment paper with the project into a hot laminator (for settings check the ThermOWeb website). As the last step, I took out the project and peeled the foil transfer sheet away to reveal the foiled design!
For the bunny, I did use flock. I did cut out a piece of the flock, again slightly larger than the design(s). I peeled the paper liner off the front side of the foam design to expose adhesive and placed the flock (color side facedown) on top. Then I ran it through a manual die-cutting machine to apply pressure. Afterward, I did peel away the flocked sheet from foam design and started die cutting all little elements needed to create the bunny.
As the last step, I created a scene for the bunny, did cut out a frame and sentiment strip for the card. As you can see I did change up the brown frame for a pink frame.
The result is great again, isn't it?
A pretty Easter card deserves a suitable envelope.
Did you know that the Slimline Toner Card Fronts are now also available in kraft paper? Now you know! I think it's stunning and you can still transfer the foil on this as I wrote above.
Again I made a soft bunny; this time with some lighter colors.
But we're not there yet ... I also made a fun goodie bag.
When I think of Easter, I also think of Easter eggs. Wich better way to give those than in a nice handbag?
For this I mainly used a handbag die set. To put the bag together it's best to use different types of glue. ThermOWeb has many different types of glue; glue dots, super tape, and liquid adhesive! To provide everything with a good closure, I used Supertape. For small elements such as the pearls, I used Zots Adhesive Dots and Ultra Bond Liquid glue.
I used the Deco Foil Clear Designer Toner Sheet (Basket of Fun) to create a see-through window in the handbag. I used the regular toner sheets and different foils for the buckles and hangers.
Thank you so much for looking! Happy crafting!
