Simple & Classic Cards for Men with Brutus Monroe Toner Sheets!

by Chrissie Tobas on May 10, 2022
Hi there! Chrissie here today! I have a few simple, but classic cards that are perfect for anyone – I think they even have a bit of a male twist to them! I struggle with sparkly foil and masculine cards. But when I use Brutus Monroe toner sheets, I feel like the style is masculine enough to work, even with some sparkle!

Classic Cards for Men with Brutus Monroe Toner Sheets

To create these cards, I simply used my Brutus Monroe toner sheets with a laminator. It’s so incredibly easy! I cut the toner sheets down to fit on my card, then cut some foil to place on the sheets. I placed the foil on top on the toner sheet (silver side down) and placed it into a carrier sheet. I ran it through my laminator and that’s it! But… I kept that negative piece of foil and put it on some Toner sheets and ran it through the laminator again. Then, I added a second piece of foil on top of that! I love to stretch my stash as much as I can and I think using the negative foil is a great way to do that! I have two cards that have a 100% solid foil background and two cards that are partially foiled (only where there was toner on the Toner Sheets. So much fun, right?!?!? After that, I knew I only wanted to add a sentiment. I had colored in some images, but it just felt like too much for a masculine card. I wanted the foil to be the star of the show, so I die cut some banners and stamped sentiments on them. I adhered everything with 3D foam squares. That’s it! Pretty simple and I really love how all of these turned out! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you use this technique when you make masculine (or ANY) cards!
