Silent Night Advent Calendar

by Sue Doherty on October 27, 2025
Hello and Happy Monday! It's Sue Doherty here and I'm so excited to be sharing my Advent Calendar I created using the NEW Silent Night: A Child is Born Scrapbook Collection, designed by Jennifer Long of Sew A Story for PhotoPlay Paper. I added glittery effects with the Silent Night stencil and Sparkle Paste from HeatnBond and Jennifer Long of Sew A Story. The Silent Night collection is now available from a variety of online retailers, including Scrapbook.com and CraftDirect.com. Check with your favorite retailer for these sweet, beautifully illustrated products guaranteed to capture your holiday memories. For the next three Mondays, our Design Team will be sharing a fun array of projects featuring the Silent Night collection, from albums to cards to tags and more. Be sure to check out the coordinating HeatnBond Silent Night Sparkle Stencil and HeatnBond Sparkle Pastes in a color palette curated to match the colors in the paper collection. I have provided the dimensions to the book at the end of this post. I wanted to make my calendar that I could also use as a decoration so I decided to create a "book" calendar. To create the front, I first applied my sticker, ephemera and pocket to the yellow star paper. Once, completed, I used the Silent Night stencil and Sparkle Paste to add the silver stars and the gold angel. I put those aside to let dry while I created the book. I love the dimension and shine that the Sparkle Paste adds to projects! For the inside boxes, I followed the dimensions below and created 24 larger, and 24 smaller boxes so the smaller one sits inside the larger one. Once all the boxes were completed, I used a variety of the Silent Night papers and glued to the box tops. While those dried, Using a palatte knife, I applied Silver and Gold Sparkle Paste over a piece of colored cardstock. I recommend using a colored cardstock that will complement the color of the Sparkle Paste just in case it spreads thin in areas. Once dried, I cut out numbers using Quinn's 123 dies by Lawn Fawn to create custom glitter numbers. These were then applied using our UltraBond Adhesive to the top of the papers to create our Advent calendar. I also added a few embellishments and stickers to the top of the boxes as decoration. Here is what the inside of the calendar looks like! I had a blast creating this calendar and can't wait to fill it with candy and give it to my mom. I can't think of a sweeter treat to share with those we love! Here are the dimensions for my Advent Calendar Book:
