Sew Sweet Scraps Handmade Christmas Cards

by Dori Troutman on December 15, 2025

Happy December, my friends!!!

I’ve got the simplest little scrappy Christmas craft for you today—and yay!—it’s perfect for mass production. ✨ Grab a handful of your favorite fabric scraps, gather a few basic supplies, and let’s get sewing. We’re making the cutest Fabric Scrap Christmas Tree Cards, and you’re going to love how quick and charming they are!  Tip of the day: you can also frame one of these sweet trees and use as decor! Or frame a set of them!

Supplies:

So let's get started with this fun project! Download my step by step tutorial and pattern here. It is a PDF document that you can save to your computer for future reference and print to use today!   [gallery columns="2" size="full" ids="https://blog.thermoweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG_9293-1.jpeg|,https://blog.thermoweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG_9301.jpeg|"] And here's a fun trick: did you know that you can adhere fabric to cardstock using HeatnBond Sewable Adhesive? It is such a simple solution for something like a greeting card. I've actually sewn fabric right to cardstock before but this is a much better solution because you have no exposed stitches on the inside of your card!   I hope you find a little time to make a few of these cards for your last-minute gifting! And most of all, I hope your Christmas is the very merriest. I can’t wait to create and share more with you in the new year!
