Semi-Waterproof Summer Pouch with HeatnBond Iron-On Vinyl

For my project today I came up with a semi-waterproof pouch that you could take to the pool or the beach to keep out the sand and splashes that might damage your phone. (Please note this is not waterproof, DO NOT submerge it completely under water). With a few scraps of fabric from my post here and a few minutes of time you can also make one for yourself.

Semi-Waterproof Summer Pouch with HeatnBond Iron-On Vinyl

Iron on a piece of the HeatNBond Soft Stretch to 1 long end of each piece of the 2x9 pieces. Fold over and iron again. This will help give you a nice fold to sew the zipper onto. Following the directions on the package adhere a 9x7 piece of the iron on vinyl to the 9x7 piece of fabric. You will now have a piece of vinyl fabric. From here you sew around all of the edges. Using double fold bias tape enclose the raw edges giving you a nice clean finish. This really is a nice quick sew up. You can make one keep in you purse and pull it out when you need it to keep things safe from splashes!
