Hello friends,
I don’t know about you, but I have always had a soft spot for bright and happy fabric. The kind with cheerful colors and playful prints that just make you smile the moment you unfold it. And when you turn that happy fabric into a sweet little boxy pouch? Well… that’s just about the best thing ever!
Recently I purchased a yard of "Magic Lettered" fabric from Ruby Star Society, and I’ve had the best time cutting into those playful prints. When my 17 year old grand-girl asked if I could make her a new pen and pencil pouch, I jumped right in and made her a simple one incorporating the letters of her name!
After I took it to her and heard her squeals of delight, I knew I needed to fine tune the pouch and write a pattern just for you! Because that’s how so many of my favorite projects begin — with someone I love beaming with joy over something I've made for them.
I knew I needed to make a few more and write a pattern and tutorial to share with my readers here!!! It is free and you can download it and save it to your computer to use now or later!
AND I’m also excited to tell you about a new product with Thermoweb called VersaFoam. If you’ve followed along with me for very long, you know I use fusible foam in all of my bags, totes, and duffels. And this one truly stands out.
