Santa Stuffy with HeatnBond and Windham fabrics

Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to look at my project today :) I made this super cute stuffed Santa from a Tilda pattern. I have several of her books and finally took the plunge and made a Santa for my own.

I would have loved to make a Santa out of the Cori Dantini prints but I used every last scrap on this quilt, LOL. But don't worry I have a quilt at the quilters right now that will match this Santa perfectly.

Santa Stuffy Instructions

Follow the directions given in the book. The Santa outfit was supposed to be pieced and quilted, but I loved this fabric so much I didn't feel like doing that. Trace the star pattern on the HeatnBond Ultrahold , fuse, cut and fuse in the center of the Santa outfit. Sew around the edge of the star. Finish the coat per the directions. One other thing that I changed was Santa's beard. In the directions, you are supposed to take 2 pieces of white fabric with a layer of batting in the middle and make the beard that way. I fused 2 pieces of HeatnBond Fusible Fleece together and then cut the beard out from the template. The dual layer of fleece was the perfect medium for the beard, and then no sewing, win-win. This Santa turned out super cute, it wasn't very difficult. The only part that made me nervous was painting the eyes but everything turned out just fine.
