Recycled Tin Can Pencil Holder Tutorial
If you look closely at my tin can, you might notice some words here and there. I thought it would be fun to spell out words with the beads. Since I planned to use this in my craft room, I decided to use words that would inspire me and make me happy. As you begin this project, separate the beads and spell out the words you want to use on your tin can.
To adhere the alphabet beads to the tin can, use the 1/4 inch Sticky Lines.
The Sticky Lines were a little too wide, so I used my scissors to cut them in half.
Remove the clear liner from one side of the adhesive and adhere it to the can. Use the lines on the tin can to help guide the placement as you wrap it around the can. Trim off any excess. Once the adhesive is applied, remove the remaining liner and begin adhering the beads.
There you have it! A great DIY recycle project that saves at least one tin can from the landfill. It's also a great kids craft project too! Think sequins, beads, punched shapes and more!
