Hello crafty friends! Ellen here, I hope you all are enjoying a lot of foil, because I have another fabulous foil themed project for you! This week we focus on our pets. Well I love my cats so let's see what I made.
I started off with the backgrounds! These are two Hot Foil backgrounds made with "Deco Foil Hot Foil Mint & Ballet Slipper Roll".
First you need to heat up your hot foil system according to the directions. Then you place a hot foil plate on the machine. Cut a piece of the Deco Foil Hot Foil Roll that is a little larger than the paper you want to foil. What's important is that you place the color side facing the foil plate/the non-colored side facing the card base. After you ran it through your laminator you can reveal the pretty foiled background.
Next I created the background from the little scene.
First I inked the backgrounds in a ombre blue color. Then I used the “Transfer Gel blanco” on top using stencils and the “Stencil Pal”. When the gel is dry, you’re ready for the next step. You can add foil or flock on top. Here I used Deco Foil Flock Sunshine Yellow and the Iridescent Deco Foil Transfer Sheets.
The last step was adding a sentiment.
For the sentiments I used the Deco Foil Adhesive Transfer Designs. First you cut out the text from the Deco Foil Adhesive Transfer Design that you want to use. Peel the clear bottom liner and put it on top of the piece of paper you want to foil. Place your project inside a folded Deco Foil Craft & Carrier Sheet and run through a hot laminator.
Next, you slowly peel back the printed top liner to reveal the clear adhesive design. Then you can use a piece of foil (slightly larger than the design) and place it, color side up, on top of the adhesive design. When it did go true the laminator again, you will get a pretty foiled banner (in this case).
Here you can see some close ups of the cards.
I did use different glues to make the cards complete for example the Permanent Adhesive Dot Runner, iCraft UltraBond, 3D Foam Squares, 3D Foam Tape Jumbo Roll).
I love how all elements just add fun textures and awesome wow factor to your cards!
What is your pet? & Did you even made cards like it?
