Oceans of Love Card with Deco Foil and Heffy Doodle

by Thermoweb on June 10, 2019
Hey, everyone - it's Lynnea! I'm so excited about this week's collaboration with Heffy Doodle! They have so many amazingly cute stamps that it was hard to choose one for my card! As soon as I saw the Oceans of Love stamp set I knew it was for me! An idea to add ink blending to Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets immediately popped into my head!

Oceans of Love Card with Deco Foil and Heffy Doodle

Heffy Doodle Card

I cut a piece of Blue Diamond Deco Foil Flock down to the size of a standard card front. Make sure when you cut the flock that you cut it pretty side down or you will shred it - and no one wants that! I grabbed the Rays the Roof stencil from Heffy Doodle and sprayed the back with Pixie Spray. I tested the stencil on a portion of the Flock Transfer Sheets - Pixie Spray is a light adhesive and I wanted to make sure when I peeled my stencil off it wouldn't' peel off the majority of the Flock Transfer Sheet from my card. I blended on some Distress Inks onto the piece of Deco Foil Flock - Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire, and Mermaid Lagoon. I peeled off the stencil and very little of the flock transferred onto the stencil. The little bit that did clean right off with a baby wipe! I wanted my underwater background to be glittery so I added some Silver Glitter Dust! I just sprayed it all over the background! It's one of my favorite ways to add sparkle! The photos just don't do this product justice! I stamped a bunch of images from the Oceans of Love stamp set onto heavyweight cardstock and colored them with my alcohol markers. In the end, I decided to use just the narwhal and the starfish - my favorites! And I just love the "Starwhal" sentiment from the stamp set! Haha! I used the Heffy Doodle "Hey" Heffy Cuts and die cut the word from a piece of Vanilla Latte Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheet. The white stood out too much against the background, so I added some Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink with a blending tool over the die cut sentiment. I adhered everything with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive because I knew that would ensure everything would hold on to the Flock Transfer Sheet background! That's all! Don't forget to watch the video below!
