Mixed Media off the Page Projects

Hello everyone! This is Audrey and I want to share with you a few of the projects that I made for the Sierra Pacific Crafts Mixed Media trade show using the NEW iCraft® Mixed Media sheets and the new colors of DecoFoil™! First up is this 8x8 canvas from Blick that I made with the NEW Lapis Watercolor and NEW Emerald Watercolor DecoFoils, NEW iCraft® Mixed Media liquid glue and the DecoFoil™ Toner Sheets. I first painted the background of my canvas with some blues and greens and a tint of orange. There are some black accents as well. Then I added my DecoFoils™ to the toner sheets with a laminator, and cut out the shapes using my Silhouette Cameo. I arranged the shapes and glued them on with the NEW iCraft® Mixed Media Liquid Glue.

  Next up are 3 mini canvases that are 3x3. I painted each with a bright background color and went over them with some modeling paste through a stencil. To make the hearts, I cut out some of the NEW iCraft® Heavy Weight Mixed Media sheets and rubbed gelattos in them to get a mix of colors. Using the DecoFoil™ Liquid Adhesive Pen, I added some "scribbles" of adhesive, let dry for a few seconds, and then applied the NEW Summer Rainbow DecoFoil Transfer Sheet. I stitched around each heart with black thread, and layered them with buttons and twine on the canvases for some added dimension.

Finally, this leaf wall hanging that I created. I simply printed this leaf design on the NEW iCraft® Light Weight Mixed Media sheets using my ink jet printer. I painted in the leaf shapes with watercolors, staying inside the lines. Next, I foiled some Toner Sheets and added the NEW Amber Watercolor DecoFoil and cut on the leaf design on my Silhouette Cameo. I added the leaf outline cut over the watercolored leaves and glued them on with the NEW iCraft® Mixed Media Liquid Glue. Finally, I backed with a text printed patterned paper and framed with a photo mat. Hope you enjoyed these projects and be sure to try out all the new iCraft™ Mixed Media products! (Coming soon!)
