Hello friends! Today I'm mixing it up a bit and sharing a Mixed Media Easter Card using some fabulous Rebekah Meier products. Thanks to these products and Therm O Web Adhesives, creating mixed media projects doesn't have to be complicated or time consuming. Keep reading to learn more about how to achieve a Mixed Media style with wonderful results!

MIXED MEDIA EASTER CARD

First, begin by creating the background for the card design. Position a stencil on top of a piece of Mixed Media Art Paper and use Therm O Web iCraft Purple Tape to help hold it in place. I also recommend applying a little bit of Memory Tape Runner to the back side of the paper to hold it in place on your craft mat. This is especially helpful to keep the paper from sliding around as you apply the gel. The next step is to use a palette knife to apply a thin layer of iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the top of the stencil. After you apply the gel, carefully peel up the stencil and wash it immediately. Set the paper to the side and allow the gel to dry. Once the gel is completely dry, place a piece of Mixed Media Transfer Foil in Patina on top and run it through a preheated laminator to adhere the foil to the design. For the final step, apply ink to the paper using a foam blending tool. Moving on to the next layer of the card, die cut a floral shape from the Mixed Media Art Paper. Once again apply ink to the design. using a foam blending tool.

Gold Bunny Focal Point

Now it's time to create the focal point of the card...the gold bunny! Take the Mixed Media Foam Sheets and die cut a bunny rabbit from the foam. To give the bunny the look of a gold foil wrapped chocolate bunny, wrinkle up a piece of Old Gold Mixed Media Transfer Foil. Peel off the liner from the top of the die cut shape and rub the foil onto the adhesive. Peel off the transfer sheet to reveal the foiled bunny. Adhere the pieces to the card base and add a sentiment. Finally, add a pom pom tail to the bunny and some sequins using Therm O Web Zots.
