Mixed Media Deco Foil Cards

Supplies: Deco Foil Metallix Gel - Black Ice, Aged Copper, and White Pearl Deco Foil Transfer Sheets - Red Deco Foil Toner Sheets iCraft Foam Strips Pixie Spray Ultra Bond Adhesive Heffy Doodle Clear Stamps and Stencils Supplies: Palette Knife, Cardstock, Patterned Paper, Oxide Inks, Die-cut Sentiments and embellishments and Ink.

Mixed Media Cards

I had so much fun playing with Metallix Gel and Heffy Doodle stencils. Metallix Gel makes a great resist for Distress Inks and a perfect background for your favorite sentiment. INSTRUCTIONS: To begin, cut several 4x5¼" panels to create card fronts and stencil patterns onto each (I used Heffy Doodle Stencils and Metallix Gel). For each card, spread the Metallix Gel across the stencil with a spatula or palette knife and gently remove the stencil. Allow each stenciled design Note: I used Purple Tape to tack down my stencils because my Pixie Spray is on back order. Pixie Spray is the best way to adhere to your stencils but when you run out, Purple Tape is a great alternative! CARD ONE: After stenciling white pearl stars onto black cardstock, apply oxide inks, embellish with die-cut sentiments and adhere to the card base. CARD TWO: After stenciling aged copper onto black cardstock, layer over patterned paper, foil* a die-cut shape, add sentiment and adhere to the card base. *To foil, die-cut shape from Deco Foil Toner Sheets, cover with Deco Foil Transfer Sheet (dull side down) and run through foiling machine. CARD THREE: After stenciling White Pearl Metallix Gel over white cardstock, apply oxide inks with the lightest color in the center, getting darker as it goes out to the edges. Embellish with die-cuts and adhere to a card base. CARD FOUR: After stenciling Black Ice Metallix Gel onto white cardstock, embellish with die-cuts and adhere to card base.
