I'm kicking off a brand new travel notebook project, and this one's a big one — documenting all 125 Pennsylvania State Parks as we visit them! I wanted the opening page to set the tone, so I went all in with a foiled cut file on acetate for the inside cover. Here's how I put it together.

Starting a brand new travel notebook to document all 125 Pennsylvania State Parks as we visit them, and I wanted the opening page to make a statement. I cut a sheet of clear acetate to about 6"x8.25", leaving a 1" tab to adhere to the first page—scored that fold with my bone folder and scoring board for a nice clean crease. For the design, I cut the Let's Go cut file on my Cricut in textured white cardstock, backing the arrow with Simple Stories Open Road paper, then cut a solid Toner Card Front for the "GO" so I could foil it with Gina K Hammered Silver Fancy Foil through my Fuse Laminator on setting 3—foil pretty side up, sandwiched between the craft and carrier sheet, folded edge feeding in first.

Once that came out, I peeled off the excess foil, glued the toner card front to the back of the cut file, and trimmed away the extra. That gave me a gorgeous foiled piece, which I adhered to the acetate with Mixed Media Adhesive by iCraft Adhesives—dries clear and goes on so smooth. From there I layered in embellishments and alphas from my stash using the Open Road collection to set up what the album is all about.
For the first actual page underneath, I started with a photo from 2014 of my husband, our dog, and me at Leonard Harrison State Park. Each park has its own stamp, and I'm heading back this weekend to grab that one and finish the page. We're having a blast chasing these down and I can't wait to watch this album grow.
