Traveling and card making goes well together. It's the time we do send cards; to those we miss or to those who will leave. I remember getting a letter in my baggage from my parents each time I was leaving on a camp. That's why I made a little "travel well" card and envelope to put in someone's suitcase.
Let me explain below how I made the card.
I started by creating the background of the card. I inked a frame with yellow Distress Ink. Later I sprinkled water on top of the panel and added the "Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel". The "Stencil Pall" helped me with adding gel.
Then we could layer the sentiment on the card. I added "Sparkling Silver Fancy Foils" on the "Deco Foil Toner Sheet" pushing it true a hot laminator. When that's done, I did go ahead applying "White Foam" on the foiled piece. Later I did cut out the text with a word die. That's how the sentiment was created.
Then it was time to add the rest of the background. I created hills with snow on top. That snow was created with the "White Latte Flock".
This was all we needed to get a fancy card. Simple right?
I just love all the glitter! It makes me feel happy.
For the envelope, I first did cut out all pieces with the help of a die. I added a pattern with a stencil later. That pattern was created with distress ink and "Sweet Mango Glitz Glitter Gel". Because the envelope was larger than the stencil I made sure I could repeat the pattern. I used purple tape to make sure the stencil stayed in place.
The cool part was adding the stars and the text on the circular piece. These glitter items were made with "Silver Glitz Glitter Gel" and the "Glimmering Gold Fancy Foils".
I think it's adorable! I'm sure my recipient will love this in her bag. I hope this gave you some ideas. Thanks for joining me today!
