Kicking this off today...Juliana Michaels has an adorable Holiday Gift Card Holder!
It's
Juliana with you today and I'm super excited to share today's projects with you. Each day this week, the Design Team is featuring projects created using products from Lawn Fawn. I've combined their Woodland Critter Huggers with Therm O Web iCraft DecoFoil to create a trio of Woodland Critter Holiday Gift Card Holders.
Woodland Critter Holiday Gift Card Holders
The Woodland Critter Huggers Die Set allows you to create three different critters...a deer, a raccoon and a fox. Aren't they just adorable?!

I dressed each critter up for winter using the Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-on.

As you can see, each critter has a bit of shine here and there thanks to
Therm O Web Deco Foil! I'll share some fun tips on how to add the foil, so keep reading for all the details.
Die Cutting with Purple Tape
To create each design, begin by die cutting the base pieces from cardstock.
Therm O Web Purple Tape is perfect to hold the dies in place as you run them through your die cut machine. This is a great way to use up every last scrap of paper when you die cut.
Woodland Animals Gift Card Pocket
As I mentioned, each of these is a gift card holder. To create the pocket that will hold the card, you will need to die cut 2 of the base shape from cardstock. Take your scissors and trim off the top from one piece and the arms from the other.

Adhere a piece of
1/4" iCraft Easy Tear Tape along the bottom/back side of the piece with the arms. Reference the image below for the position of the tape.

After they have adhered together, fold the arms around the front of the holder. You don't need to add adhesive to the side as the arms will help hold the pocket closed.

From the back side, you can see the pocket that you've created to hold the gift card.

This is how the pocket looks with the gift card in place.
Foam Adhesive and Deco Foil Accents
Now it's time to decorate your critter. Adhere a piece of white cardstock to a piece of
iCraft Deco Foil White Foam Adhesive. This will add a bit of stability to the small die cuts. Next, place all the pieces that you want to foil onto the foam side of this piece and run them through your die cut machine. Then all you have to do is peel off the adhesive liner, place your desired color of
Deco Foil onto the foam, gently rub it and peel off the Foil. Your piece is now foiled and ready to dress up your critter.

As you can see, I only foiled the accents, such as the bow on the present and the trim on the mittens.

I love the shine on the hot cocoa mug and the holly.

And of course, I had to add it to the gingerbread man and the candy cane!

I hope you enjoyed learning how to create this trio of Woodland Critter Holiday Gift Card Holders using some fun products from Lawn Fawn and Therm O Web. I know I can't wait to create a few more of these and use them this Christmas!
