Hi there, Jenifer here with you today to share a cute little turtle applique zip pouch with you. If you didn't know I absolutely love Cori Dantini prints from Blend and I tend to be a bit of a hoarder but when the assignment for Sea Life Week came up I knew exactly what to do and what collection to use.

Thermoweb Supplies:

HeatNBond High Loft Fusible Fleece HeatNBond Fusible Interfacing - Light Weight 2 pieces 10 1/2″ x 7″ HeatNBond Ultrahold Fusible Adhesive a piece to fit your applique

Fabric: Cori Dantini for Blend Mermaid Days

2 pieces 10 1/2″ x 7″-for outside 2 pieces 10 1/2″ x 7″-for inside lining 5 strips 2 1/2″ x 18 1/2″

Other supplies:

Aurifil 50 wt thread (#2021) Iron: (I love my Oliso Pro), 9" zipper, erasable fabric pen, sewing machine with a walking foot and 1/4″ foot, chopstick, wonder clips, and general sewing supplies: rotary cutter, cutting mat, scissors, pins, etc.

Turtle Zipper Pouch Instructions:

All seams are stitched at ¼” Read all instructions before beginning Step 1: adhere your applique to the desired outside fabric and stitch around. Step 2: attach your zipper. Step 3: sew the sides and bottom. Step 4: cut a one inch square at the bottom corners and then matching seams sew across the line you just cut. Tip: Before this last step make sure your zipper is unzipped partially so that you can turn your pouch right side out. Now you are done :) Don't you just love the mermaids and the turtles? This would be a fun little pouch to take to the beach, or to put your makeup in or to hold little things that end up at the bottom of your purse.
