Here's how you make them:
Begin by tracing the pattern onto the Heat n Bond Lite.
Heat set to the wrong side of the desired fabrics. Let cool.
Cut out shapes along the pattern line and peel off backing paper. Position the background fabric in the hoops and place the appliqué pieces. Heat set in place.
With black thread, outline stitch each appliqué piece 2 times.
I found this cute Halloween fabric with spooky sayings. Place a piece of Heat n Bond Lite on the wrong side of the word you want. Heat set. Cut out around the word. Peel off the backing paper. Heat set in place and straight stitch around the word.
Add a few buttons to make it cute :)
Once the art is finished, tighten it in the hoop and make sure it's centered. Trim the background fabric down leaving about 1/2".
With a hot glue gun, glue the background fabric to the inside of the hoop, pressing tightly.
Trace the hoop on a piece of felt, use a pen. Cut out the circle on the inside of the line so no pen shows, this allows the circle to be just a smidge smaller than the hoop which makes for a nice back. Hot glue the felt circle to the back of the hoop.
Place a bead of hot glue around the outside of the hoop. Adhere the pom pom trim all the way around the hoop, starting and stopping at the top. Notice which way the pom poms are facing. I like how they kind of flop around.
Tie a bow with ribbon and hot glue it to the top of the hoop. If you wish to hang the hoop you can tie some bakers twine or ribbon to make a loop.
Pom pom trim gets me every time! and so do black cats! Now hand over the candy!!
