Hello crafty friends; Ellen here with two winter birthday cards. My project today features different products (Fancy Foils, Glitz Glitter Gel, StampnStencil, and Wafer-Thin Dies) from the Gina K. Designs line from ThermOWeb.

Winter Birthday Cards

Today's inspiration will be about making birthday cards with Christmas products and colors. This way you can stretch your products.

Card Instructions

Below I will explain how I made one of the cards. Both cards are made in the same way. They only use different variations with the same products. So with the explanation below you can make the same kind of card.

Glitz Glitter Gel

To begin making this card I inked the card base with distress ink and sprinkled it with water. Then I added the Red Velvet Glitter Glitz Gel. For that I sprayed Pixie Spray on the Autumn Wishes stencil and placed it on the card base. The spray holds stencils in place and ensures that the gel can be applied nicely without particles ending up under parts of the stencil. The glue from the spray won't even tear paper! It's perfect to add the gel with the Stencil Pal. Afterward, I did cut out a tag and added distress ink. I also did cut out the tag from white paper. The white tag was used to cut out snow hills. A dog with ice skates around his neck was a perfect illustration for my winter birthday card.

Gina K Designs Fancy Foils

For the message on my card, I used Sparkling Silver Fancy Foils. This makes the card more festive in my opinion. To assemble the card, I adhered all the elements to the front panel using a tape runner or foam tape. On the second card, other colors were used for the Fancy Foils and Glitz Glitter Gel. I used Brilliant Blue Fancy Foils and the new Silver Glitz Glitter Gel. The snowflakes were created with the StampnStencil Detail Stencil Wishing You Joy.
