Fall Cards with Newton's Nook

As soon as I saw the new Orange Sketch Decofoil from Brutus Monroe, I fell in love and I just knew I needed to use it, stat! So, I combined it with their Static Toner Sheet. These sheets are pretty awesome; they are clear sheets with toner patterns on them. So, once DecoFoil is added and everything is run through a laminator, the toner is completely covered with the foil. It’s fantastic!

Stamping on Deco Foil Flock

For my first card, I wanted to use some of the Green Envy flock for the sunflower leaves. I stamped the Sun Flower Days stamp on white card stock and on the flock. I colored in the sunflowers using alcohol markers and then die cut the image from the flock and the card stock. I carefully cut around the leaves so I could add them to the colored image.

Then, I foiled the toner sheet using my laminator. I trimmed it down and adhered it to a piece of black card stock. Then I stamped the sentiment onto another trimmed piece of black card stock and heat embossed it.

To assemble the card, I used 3D foam squares.

Fall Fringe Card

For my second card, I stamped the Fall Fringe stamp onto some Kraft card stock. I colored everything in again using alcohol markers and then cut out a little center area. I wanted this to look like a faux shaker card. This time, I used the new Gold Static DecoFoil on the Brutus Monroe Crosshatch toner sheets. The foil is so awesome; it’s almost holographic looking! I absolutely love it.

Assemble the Card

To assemble the card, I used 3D foam squares. I think the faux shaker card is super fun. And I could have easily turned it into a real shaker by added Foam Strips around the window backer before assembling the card.
