by Thermoweb on December 07, 2020
Guess what we're up to this week? We're teaming up with a company we've never collaborated with before and think you will LOVE this. No, we KNOW you're going to love it! This week we're teaming up with our friends at LDRS (Little Darlings Rubber Stamps) Creative for a week of inspiration and ideas and of course...GIVEAWAYS! If you're not familiar with LDRS Creative...we hope this week will find you becoming a new fan and follower. Here's a little bit about them: LDRS Creative is a small company in Michigan that has been producing unique and original crafting products since 2011. Our first products were developed out of a love of card making. We started with stamps, but over the years have expanded the product line to include dies, papers, stencils, ephemera, and card kits. Our products are made from the highest quality materials so they stand the test of time in your craft room. Each product is carefully designed to be used on its own and to be mixed and matched with other products in your LDRS Creative collection. We hope that our whimsical designs will bring joy to your crafting and a smile to your face. To kick off this week of fun Andrea Shell has two of the sweetest cards! That Pink Carnation Flock with our Gina K. Designs Glitz...sigh...is lovely! Read on to learn more and don't miss a chance to enter to win before you head over to LDRS!

Wintery Cards with LDRS

Winter Cards by Andrea Shell | stamps by LDRS Creative Hello there! It's Andrea with you today sharing two cards combining stamps by LDRS Creative and products from Therm O Web. These stamps are so adorable and, paired with Deco Foil and Glitz Glitter Gel, make the cutest, wintry cards!

Winter Wishes

Winter Wishes card by Andrea Shell | Snow Much Fun stamp by LDRS Creative My first card features the adorable critters from LDRS Creative's Snow Much Fun set. Aren't they so sweet?! I colored the images with Copics and trimmed them out before working on the rest of my card.

Deco Foil Accent

I applied Terrific Tape to a scrap piece of white cardstock and, after removing the protective liner, adhered a piece of Glass Slipper Deco Foil in place. I die-cut the foiled piece with a small, ellipsis-shaped die. After die-cutting white cardstock with LDRS Creative's Over The Hills Border Die, I die-cut the hill with the same ellipsis die. I inserted the foil die-cut into the opening and taped it in place.

Sparkly Background with Glitz Glitter Gel

I blended Bristol Smooth paper with Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. After spraying the back of the Wishing You Joy Stencil with Pixie Spray, I placed it over my ink-blended panel and spread White Glitz Glitter Gel with the Stencil Pal. I allowed the gel to dry before extending the design across the panel.

Assembling the Card

Winter Wishes card by Andrea Shell | Snow Much Fun stamp by LDRS Creative I created an A6 cardbase (4 1/2" x 6 1/4") from white cardstock, trimmed my background panel down, and adhered it with Terrific Tape. I affixed the hill with the die-cut insert to my card with Foam Tape. The Over Hills Border Die creates a separate hill, which I blended with Mermaid Lagoon before attaching with Mixed Media Adhesive. Winter Wishes card by Andrea Shell | Snow Much Fun stamp by LDRS Creative I white heat-embossed a sentiment from LDRS Creative's Snow Deer to Me set onto black cardstock, trimmed it down, and adhered it with Foam Squares. I affixed my colored images with a combination of Mixed Media Adhesive and Foam Squares. Finally, I added details to the images with a white gel pen and brushed on some clear sparkle.

Snow Deer

Snow Deer card by Andrea Shell | Snow Deer to Me stamp by LDRS Creative This second card features the adorable deer from LDRS Creative's Snow Deer to Me set. I just love these cute deer! Again, I colored them with Copics before cutting them out.

Stenciled Flock Background

This background was a labor of love, but I love how it turned out! After covering an A2 panel of white cardstock with the Memory Tape Runner, I adhered Pink Carnation Deco Foil Flock and trimmed the excess. I sprayed LDRS Creative's Plaid Stencil with Pixie Spray, placed it over the flock panel, and gently blended with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I covered the squares with bits of post-it tape (masking paper would also work) and then applied Gold Glitz Glitter Gel with the Stencil Pal.

Assembling the Card

Snow Deer card by Andrea Shell | Snow Deer to Me stamp by LDRS Creative I die-cut a white circle and added snowflakes with the Wishing You Joy Stencil and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I created the white hill by diecutting with the Over the Hills Border Die and the circle die. I heat-embossed a sentiment from Snow Deer to Me onto the hill before attaching it to the circle with Mixed Media Adhesive. Snow Deer card by Andrea Shell | Snow Deer to Me stamp by LDRS Creative I trimmed down the stenciled panel and adhered it to a white, A2 card with the Memory Tape Runner. After attaching the circle with Foam Tape, I popped up the deer with Foam Squares. I finished with some pink gems affixed with Mixed Media Adhesive. Thanks for stopping by!
