Juliana and today I'm sharing a Framed Patriotic Printable I created for the upcoming Memorial Day celebrations. The printable, which you can download below, has a patriotic theme, so you can easily use it for the Fourth of July as well. I used this printable to create a framed Patriotic home decor piece using Therm O Web Deco Foil™.
Start by turning on your
Foil Laminator and allow it to warm up at least 30 minutes. While it's warming up, download the Patriotic Printable (located below). Print it onto white cardstock using a laser printer set at the highest setting.
Trim a sheet of
Deco Foil in the color of your choice to fit the size of your print. Position the Deco Foil silver side down onto the printed image. Next, place the printed image covered with foil into a piece of folded parchment paper and run it through the laminator. Once it comes out the back side of the laminator pull back the transfer sheet to reveal the foiled design.
You can complete the project by placing it inside a frame of your choosing. My completed project is printed full size and placed inside an 8x10 frame.
How to Eliminate Wrinkling
Take note of the direction the grain or lines are running on the backside (silver side) of the foil. Place the foil into the laminator so that the lines are running horizontal to the opening of the laminator. This will eliminate the wrinkling.
