Foiled Deco Foil Toner Sheets or Poly Glaze Sheets With Embossing Folders

Hello crafty friends! Lauren here, sharing a fun idea for the solid Poly Glaze or toner sheets and card fronts, paired with embossing folders. Since the full Poly Glaze (or full toner sheets) are completely coated, the foil will cover the entire piece!

1. Start by choosing your Deco Foil and laying it over the top of the Poly Glaze sheet, color side facing up. For this project I chose Turquoise and Silver Shattered Glass Deco Foils.

2. After putting it in a carrier sheet, run it through the pre-heated machine. For toner sheets, I typically use heat setting 3. For poly-glaze sheets, I prefer heat setting 4.

3. Peel the plastic off the foil and it should leave you with a full sheet of foiled cardstock! This can be die-cut, painted over, or embossed.

4. This particular technique can be used with any embossing folders, but I love how it looks with more geometric folders. Here I used two of the Next Level Embossing Folders from We-R-Memory Keepers, from the double packs called “Gemstones” and “Geometric”

5. Place your solid foiled piece in the embossing folder, and use it with the embossing sandwich that your machine recommends.

6. The result is spectacular, with the embossing and debossed areas catching extra light on the foil!

7. I used the same solid toner sheets for the sentiment on these cards as well. After foiling the solid sheets, I ran them through my die cutter the way I normally would with regular cardstock.

8. The letters are ready to be glued onto the embossed card front!

This technique is fairly quick and easy but the dimension on the foiled pieces really packs a big punch! Try this technique out and don't forget to tag Therm O Web on your social media posts so we can see what you make.
