I have been sew inspired by the cheery Strawberry Festival fabrics by Jennifer Jangles. Living in a heavily farmed area with farm stands on the side of the road every few miles I love the fresh fruits and vegetables available to me. I created this fun quiltlet I imagine would make a great sign for a fruit stand or a farmers market booth.

Project Instructions:
Step One: Press HeatnBond® FeatherLite to strawberry fabrics and scallop circle fabric. For center circle fabric press HeatnBond® Fleece Fusible High Loft to fabric then HeatnBond® FeatherLite to fleece. (I added the fleece to give a little more dimension). Cut shapes.
Step Two: Press strawberry parts layer at a time to center circle. Stitching around each shape then adding the next. (Do not remove the paper backing from center circle, stitch right through it. The paper backing will keep the Heat n Bond from sticking to your machine.)
Step Three: Piece together wedges to create 2 halves. Trim up center edges and join sides.
Step Four: Press scallop to piece to center of quilt. Stitch around scallops once or twice. Spray n Bond® Basting Spray batting to back side of quilt front.
Step Five: Peel paper backing away from center circle, tear paper away from stitches around strawberry. Embroider "farm fresh" using a stem stitch. Iron center circle in place on scallop. Stitch around outer edge of center circle.
Step Six: Square up edges. Apply backing with Spray n Bond® basting spray. Baste trims in place. Apply binding.
