Fall Foiling Fun

Once a month I teach a quick five step Make and Take at Brutus Monroe Studio Store in Pittsburgh, PA. I try to highlight one of the wonderful products that we have. This month we focused on foiling. The partnership between Thermoweb and Brutus Monroe makes this project a breeze.
Brutus Monroe has a new line of product this year one can foiled or not foiled. I was able to make these quick and easy cards in a few easy steps and with any mess. To start this project I heated my Fuse Machine by Gina K to level 4.
The "Brutus Monroe Pumpkin Plaid | DuoFoil Sheets" are two 8.5x11 sheets of paper that can be cut into card panels. Four card panels are a great A2 card panel and need nothing done to them make a quick and easy layering panel. The other 4 panels have special patterns on them that are in black, that I used my Fuse machine layered with a piece of "Brutus Monroe | Foil Transfer Sheets | Pewter Ripples" on top. After it is run through the machine the foil only sticks to the special pattern that was layered on the A2 colored card base. Then I trimmed off a 1/4" off all sides of my foiled card panel and then with a tape runner I made my card; card base, layered card panel and lastly my A2 foiled card front. I added a few flat back gems and my first card was done.
For my second card I took the "Brutus Monroe Creepy Borders | Acetate" and cut it apart. There are two 8.5x11 sheets of acetate with special patterns printed on them. The instruction sheet can be cut down to 4 easy A2 card panels. Again using the Minc I ran a card panel through the machine with a sheet of "Brutus Monroe | Foil Transfer Sheets | Pewter Ripples". And lastly to assemble my card I used an A2 card panel, one of the A2 card panels from the cut down instruction sheet and lastly my foiled acetate card panel. I did end up adding a layered sentiment and a few flat back gems.
And just like that I had two finished cards.
