Fall Banner and Table Decor with Laura Kelly

Using the Me & My Peeps stamp, along with Laura's fun toner sheets and foils, I created this super-cute banner and set of placecards for Thanksgiving. These projects so make me ready for fall (even my daughter got excited when she saw these)!

Fall Placecards

The images from Me & My Peeps are so cute and fun - plus they're easy to personalize! I started by diecutting a bunch of arched tags from white cardstock. After stamping my guests' names, I stamped an image from Me & My Peeps above the names (You could handwrite the names, but I don't care for my handwriting, and I thought this alphabet set from my stash fit the whimsical vibe of the images). I did some simple Copic coloring of the images to save time.

Creating Foil Diecuts

I knew I wanted to embellish my tags, so I decided to foil a bunch of the Laura Kelly Toner Sheets. I used my laminator to apply Laura Kelly Foils to the toner sheets and then die-cut them with some leaf dies.

Creating Flocked Diecuts

To help my foiled leaves stand out against my white tags, I chose to create some flocked leaves. After applying flock to white cardstock with the Memory Tape Runner XL (this makes the die-cuts more sturdy), I die-cut the flocked cardstock with the leaf dies. In order for my placecards to stand up, I created mini cards. I die-cut a second set of tags and scored the tops. Using the UltraBond Adhesive Pen, I adhered the tags (above the score-lines) to the back of the stamped tags. Onto the tops of the cards, I layered two flocked leaves and one foiled, adhering them with the UltraBond Adhesive Pen. I tied twine bows and attached them on top with the glue. I love how these placecards turned out! Wouldn't it be sweet to write a little note inside them, maybe saying why you're grateful for that person? Or, you could ask each guest to write one thing they're grateful for inside the card and use it on a scrapbook layout.

To complete my Thanksgiving decor, I created a banner with the Laura Kelly Collection.

Creating Foiled Diecuts

Using my laminator, I applied foil to the Laura Kelly Toner Sheets. I die-cut each foiled panel with a larger, arched tag die.

Creating Flocked Diecuts

After adhering flock to white cardstock with the Memory Tape Runner XL, I die-cut letters from the flock to spell "thankful". I die-cut larger tags from Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and adhered the foiled tags on top with the Memory Tape Runner XL. I punched holes in the corners of each tag and strung them together with twine. I adhered the diecut letters with the UltraBond Adhesive Pen. I had some flocked leaves leftover from the placecards, so I decorated some of the tags with them, attaching them with the pen. I embellished around the leaves with gems, which I affixed with the same glue. To help tie my banner to my placecards and also show some of the things I'm grateful for, I added images from the Me & My Peeps stamp. I took more care with my Copic coloring on these images as I plan to hang up the banner for many years. After fussy-cutting my images, I popped them up with iCraft 3D Foam Squares. To create some depth, I applied two layers of adhesive behind some of the images. Thanks for stopping by!
