Hey everyone - it's Andy here again from
A Bright Corner. We're getting ready to head back to school and I thought this personalized notebook would make a cute gift for a favorite student or teacher.

Here's what you'll need:
Notebooks like this one are inexpensive and can be found at most big box stores and probably office supply stores as well. There are lined versions as well as graph notebooks like this one.

To make the fabric cover for the notebook, I used
this great tutorial. There are a lot of different notebook cover tutorials out there, but
this one was the most straightforward - and the quickest!
Now to personalize it! First you will need the outline of a letter, and it should measure about 2.5" x 3.5" or so.

With a pencil, trace the letter onto a sheet of the
Deco Foil™ Hot Melt Adhesive. Cut out with scissors and place onto finished notebook cover. Iron in place using a pressing cloth, or the parchment paper included in the packaging.

Once it is completely cooled, peel off paper. Cut a piece of
Deco Foil™ that is slightly larger than the letter. Place the foil over the letter (color side up). Cover with a pressing cloth or parchment paper, and iron. Let it cool completely.

Then peel off the
foil, revealing the letter underneath.

And your notebook is done!

Adding a
Deco Foil™ monogram is a great way to personalize a school notebook or journal! And what a great gift this would be for a college student heading off to college for the first time!
