Hello everyone, It's
Mona here, in my newest tutorial I am going to show you how I mixed rose gold and platinum colors using
iCraft Decofoil Metallix Gel and
Stencil Pal. This week we have a collaboration with Picket Fence Studios and MISTI, and I will show you an easy video tutorial with their products.
Create Custom Deco Foil Metallix Colors for Beautiful Cardmaking
For this project I prepared colorful cardstocks in 5.25" by 4" inches. I blended the background through the 2 and a 1/2″ Blending Stencil from Picket Fence Studios.
First, I used the Old Paper Distress Oxide Ink. What I extremely love about this stencil is that it has a negative part too, and in my video tutorial I used both the negative and the positive parts.
I also made an ink blending on the blue and vintage rose cardstocks then I started the stamping and heat embossing process with the
Jungle Babies stamp set from Picket Fence Studios.
Deco Foil Metallix
Next, I mixed a beautiful rose gold color with the
iCraft Decofoil Metallix Gel and
Stencil Pal. I added 2 parts of Pure Gold, 1 part of Glazed Pewter and 1 part of Champagne Mist
iCraft Decofoil Metallix Gel and pink ink. I used the Picked Raspberry Mini Distress Inkpad and stamped with it a few times on my watercolor mat.
Once it was done I made a couple of card bases with different
iCraft Decofoil Metallix Gel colors and the
Floral Damask Stencil. I also mixed platinum color, be sure to watch in the video how pretty color it is. For this, I added 2 parts of Glazed Pewter, 2 parts of Champagne Mist and 1 part of Pure Gold
iCraft Decofoil Metallix Gel.
Coloring
The next step was the coloring. I used the beautiful
Jungle Babies stamp set from Picket Fence Studios. I stamped the images with an acrylic block. You know that I am from Europe and unfortunately I didn't get my MISTI package in time. However, I absolutely recommend the MISTI for stamping. I had a chance to try it out on a crafty retreat and I can say you if you want to step to a higher level of stamping, consider to buy it! I can't wait to receive mine and stamp with it.
I colored the images with Copic markers. If you like to watch coloring videos, I have good news, I included the full coloring in my video.
