Cool Cat

Sometimes you just have to create. It just makes me happy. And it is ok for a project to be silly! And this was just that type of project. I knew as soon as I found this ceramic cool cat it was perfect for what I needed! So, I put on a good show, grabbed some products and got to work!

To start this silly Cool Cat project, I took my unfinished ceramic cat and painted it all white. I like doing this so that the ceramic is then sealed and I can start to layer my products on top of this base layer. I then added some sky blue paint and lightly painted the cat with this and some more white to add some more texture and layered look to the cat. Then I painted the rest of the cat with oranges, blues and yellows and let dry completely.

After the cat was completely dry, I spread the iCraft Liquid Ultra Bond Adhesive on the fur areas of the cat and let it dry to tacky, then with the shiny side up, I rubbed the Brutus Monroe Magical Shattered Glass Transfer Foil over the glue areas.

I did this again on the shirt of the cat and used the Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils in Tangerine Twist and Lemon Drop. To finish the piece, I did this same technique with the Gina K. Designs Blue Sky Fancy Foil. To add a special pop, I also added Brutus Monroe Fallen Snow Glitter Glaze over the top of the blue of the glasses.
