In my neck of the woods, the weather is quite chilly. It has been below freezing for the last few days, which has made for the perfect opportunity to make a cute penguin mini quilt to make me feel warm on the inside.
Next, print out your pattern sheet. You can use the HeatnBond® EZ Print sheets for the snow flakes and words. You will need to use Heat n Bond® Lite for the penguin body. Use according to the manufacturers instructions. Heat set the shapes to the wrong side of the desired fabric. Cut the shapes along the lines. Peel off the backing.
Heat set the shapes with your iron. Make a quilt sandwich. With coordinating thread, sew or applique stitch around your shapes.
This is what you can do with your snowflake, machine stich on the snowflake. Then as an option, take 12 wt. Aurifil thread and hand stitch around them for an added touch.
Bind and your mini is complete.
Little Penguin makes this cold weather a little more bearable. Don't you agree?
