Let your garden show off your patriotic side with a bang, this year. It's easy using HeatNBond EZ Print Lite sheets and this EZ print-ready pattern. Thanks to HeatNBond Liquid Vinyl it will be protected from the weather, as well.

You need ½ - yard background fabric ½ - yard backing fabric ¼ - yard black for hat and rocket backgrounds This is a great scrap buster project, so gather assorted fabrics for the rockets, along with White and red scraps for the hat, stars, and lettering background 2 different blues for the hat Star print for lettering Tan for rocket sticks

Celebrate with a Bang Patriotic Garden Flag

The letters have been cut using Crafter's Edge dies and their Crossover II die cutting machine. Similar letters have been included in the pattern if you don't have these. Start by cutting 2 – 14 1/2″ x 27 1/2″ pieces for the flag front and back. Print pattern pages out on HeatNBond EZ Print Lite or trace on HeatNBond®Lite fusible web. Rough cut pattern pieces from fusible sheets and fuse to reverse side of fabrics, following manufacturer’s directions. When cool cut out all appliques and layout on your background fabric. All the information you need is included in the free pattern. Stitch appliques down as desired. You might want to try using some metallic thread to add a little extra bling to your flag! Assemble the front and back and you’re ready to protect your flag from the elements with HeatNBond Liquid Vinyl. It paints on easily with a foam brush or my favorite 2″ fine bristle paintbrush that cleans up easily with just water. 1 coat – water and stain-resistant 2 coats – waterproof and stain-resistant 3 coats – waterproof and stain-resistant with a semi-gloss oilcloth finish Once dry, cover with Pressing Paper or parchment paper and press according to the manufacturer’s directions.
