Hi there, it's Ellen here. Today I’m sharing three dreamy cards featuring beautiful foil effects and soft textures using some of my favorite Therm O Web products!

Let me explain step by step how I made these cards.

Creating the Foiled BackgroundsI started all three cards with foiled backgrounds using Deco Foil Toner Sheets and Toner Card Fronts.
To create these backgrounds, I simply:
The heat transfers the foil onto the toner design, revealing those beautiful, shiny patterns. It’s such an easy way to get a professional-looking background!
For the crafters who like to know I used the Toner Sheets “Fairy Wings” with the & Toner Card Front “Fresh Florals”. Next I used the Toner Sheets “Royal Carriage” in combination with the “Birthday Wish” Toner Sheets. For the last card I used “Love Potion” & the Toner Card Front “Hoppy Spring”).

Vibe: Playful, cheerful, a little bit magical
This birthday card features a cute frog popping out of a car, making it feel like a surprise. The foiled background adds sparkle and celebration, while the design keeps things lighthearted and fun—perfect for sending happy birthday smiles.
Adding Soft Cloud Texture
For two of the cards, I wanted to soften the look a bit and add a different texture. I die-cut cloud shapes from the Gina K. Designs Plush Papers White Velvet.

This paper has a gorgeous soft, velvety texture that contrasts beautifully with the smooth, shiny foil. I adhered the clouds with foam adhesive to give extra dimension and create a layered sky effect.

Vibe: Caring, uplifting, slightly playfulThis get well card combines soft textures and a subtle foil touch. The frog paired with the soft plush paper gives it a fresh and encouraging feel, while the foiled accents give such a storytell look. It’s meant to lift someone’s spirits.
Creating Foiled Effects with Transfer Gel Duo
On all three cards, I added extra foiled details using Deco Foil Transfer Sheets Magical Sketch orMagical Halo together with Transfer Gel Duo.

Here’s how I did that:
This technique allows you to foil custom designs depending on the stencil you use. I used it to create:

Vibe: Soft, sweet, and heartfeltFor this Mother’s Day card, I kept the design gentle and warm. The frog adds a cute and loving touch, while the foiling creates a happy summer background. It’s a sweet way to show appreciation with a handmade feel.
Finishing the Cards
Once all the elements were ready, I simply layered everything together and added my focal points. The combination of shine, texture, and dimension really makes these cards stand out!
I love how versatile these techniques are—by just changing the foil patterns or stencils, you can create completely different styles.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you feel inspired to try these foiling techniques in your own projects!
