Beach View Art Facebook Live

by Lisa Ruble on July 11, 2024
Hello and happy summer! It's Lisa Ruble from Quilty Zest and I just returned from a week at the beach in North Carolina. One of my favorite parts of our vacation was walking on the beach at sunset. Of course I took a few photos, but I thought it’d be fun to recreate an abstract beach sunset in fabric. I will be showing how to make a beach sunset like this in my Facebook Live in the Therm O Web Craft Room Facebook Group. Join me tonight at 7:30 PM CDT to learn how! Don’t forget to join the Therm O Web Facebook Group prior to our live by clicking here and answering the questions to join! Here are a few of the photos I used for color inspiration: If you're looking at the curves in my Beach View Art and thinking this technique is hard - don't worry! This piece is built curve by curve thanks to HeatnBond Lite Sewable. Yours will look different than mine based on your color choices and your curves - that's what makes this so fun! Here's what you'll need to make Beach Art like mine: Materials: 4" x 10" fabric pieces in assorted sunset colors 10" x 13" white solid rectangle 10" x 13" backing fabric (2) 2-1/4" x WOF strips for binding HeatnBond Lite Sewable Iron-On Adhesive HeatnBond Fusible Fleece Here's the color palette I'm going to experiment with next - a deeper, more vibrant sunset using these Shadow Blush fabrics. Join me tonight to see how it comes together! Hope to see you tonight! Lisa
